Fugitive convicted of molesting child with autism, violating parole arrested in Texas
The Cleveland County Sheriff's Office announced Friday that a 30-year-old convicted sex offender wanted for violating his parole was arrested in El Paso, Texas, this week.Deputy U.S. Marshals arrested Teddy Davis during a traffic stop in El Paso.According to the sheriff, Davis was convicted in 2011 of lewd molestation and indecent proposal to a child. The sheriff said he molested a 6-year-old with autism in Moore. He was sentenced to ten years in prison but was granted parole after serving two years.The sheriff said he violated the terms of his parole several times and on June 23, he failed to appear in Cleveland County Court. A warrant was issued for his arrest.The sheriff's office has a detective assigned to the United States Marshal's Metro Fugitive Task Force and started searching for Davis.Six weeks later, he was tracked down to El Paso and arrested. He'll soon be extradited back to Oklahoma.According to records, Davis was arrested in July 2011 after police said he responded to a Craigslist ad from a father offering oral sex with with his six-year-old son.
