Charles Sykes gets life in prison for killing teen girlfriend
The man accused of choking his 15-year-old girlfriend to death in a Warr Acres apartment has pleaded guilty and was sentenced to life in prison.
Charles Sykes entered his guilty plea on Friday, admitting to the state that he choked 15-year-old Raevianna Satterfield in July 2012.
Officials say Sykes killed Satterfield and left her body inside his mother's apartment in Warr Acres on July 3, 2012.
On Monday, he was sentenced to life in prison.
