Driver in OKC RV chase faces more complaints
The man accused of driving an RV and leading police on a chase throughout Oklahoma City was originally wanted on several charges and now faces more.Richard Tarver, 30, was arrested near Northwest Expressway and the Kilpatrick Turnpike Thursday night.Oklahoma City Police said they were trying to serve three felony warrant to Tarver when he was in his parked RV on Rockwell Ave. When they arrived, he sped off.Police say Tarver took the RV onto I35 and that's when the Oklahoma Highway Patrol got involved in the pursuit.Speeds on the 27-mile chase hit 100 MPH with dozens of law enforcement officers in pursuit. He hit stopstick but continued to drive on the rims, throwing parks from the vehicle. The sparks started at least one grass fire as the RV crashed.Tarver was arrested on complaints of several charges including attempted to elude a police officer, false identification, driving under suspension, possession of drugs with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, and giving false information to police.Chase video is courtesy Taylor Nance and Bryce Everett.
