Two vehicles destroyed after car hits gas pump

The Oklahoma City Fire Department says it has extinguished two car fires that began after a car struck a gas pump Saturday afternoon. According to Batt. Chief Thomas Thurm, at 6 p.m. Saturday fire crews were called to Red Carpet Carwash, 5001 N. Pennsylvania Ave. after a vehicle lost control and struck a gas pump, starting a fire. The fire spread to another vehicle and damaged parts of the carwash before being extinguished. The two vehicles were destroyed in the fire. No one was injured in the fire and investigators are still working to determine a damage estimate.
