California restaurant to parents: no loud or crying kids allowed

A popular restaurant in California is offending some parents and while some tourists say it's unfair the owner says it's not hurting his bottom line.No stroller, no high chairs, no booster chairs, and no children making noise in the dining room. That sign adorns Old Fisherman's Grotto in Monterey, California. Some say it's not fair."I think it's ridiculous, I think kids need to know how to behave in restaurants and if you don't take them to them, they don't know how to behave and they shouldn't be kept hidden away, so I think it's ridiculous, kids should be allowed in restaurants," Teresa Colombani said. The restaurant is a big tourist attract on the Monterey Peninsula and some say the sign sends the wrong message. Chris Shake owns the restaurant and he doesn't seem to care what they think."If a place has the rules, that's what the rules are, you go in and abide by the rules or you find a place that's more suitable to your dining," Shake said. He's okay without some of their business, he said the policy has been in place for two years and they haven't seen a dip yet.
