Brazen suspects steal safe, rip phones in robbery of Wheels of OKC

Oklahoma City Police are searching for two men they say robbed a tire and wheel shop in SE oklahoma City.Police said they were called to Wheels of OKC in the 100 block of SE 29th Street last Thursday.According to the police department, two men were armed when they walked into the store and talked with an employee. One of the suspects asked for a rental application but when the employee reached for it, the other man pointed a gun at her. She said the other man demanded that she open the safe. When she said she couldn't police said he told her "I'll f------ kill you, open the safe". They demanded again, but she told them that she couldn't do it.The victim said as the man with the gun stayed with her, the other man took her wallet out of her purse, then took her cell phone before picking up the safe from behind her desk. As they walked out, she said the armed man ripped the phones from the wall.The victim described both men as about 5'8", 180 lbs, in their early to mid 20's. A witness in a neighboring business told police the car they drove off in was a Gray Dodge Challenger or Charger with tinted windows. Police ask anyone with information about the robbery to call Crimestoppers at (405) 235-7300.
