Police arrest man after 9 hour standoff
Police have arrested a man after a nine hour standoff in northwest Oklahoma City.
According to the Oklahoma City Police Department, 22-year-old Jarrod Truss was found hiding in an apartment in the 9100 block of N. MacArthur late Tuesday, ending a nine hour standoff.
The incident began after a bail bondsman contacted the police department as he worked to take a robbery suspect into custody around 1:00 PM Tuesday.
Officers worked to make contact with Truss during the incident. Police say a woman and young child were also in the apartment during the standoff but were never in any danger.
Authorities went into the apartment at approximately 9:10 p.m. Tuesday. Truss was arrested on two separate warrants for armed robbery.
The woman inside the apartment was taken into police custody for questioning.
