Another earthquake in the Enid area

The United State Geological Survey has reported eight earthquakes in Oklahoma so far in the month of October.

The latest earthquake hit shortly after 2:00 a.m. Saturday morning and was centered six mile north-northeast of Enid. There were no reports of injury or damage connected with the quake.

That quake was preceded Friday night at 7:30 p.m. by a 2.7 earthquake centered 11 miles north of Enid.

Other temblors reported this month include four in the Enid area on Oct. 1st ranging in magnitude from 2.7 to 3.5 and two in the Spencer area on Oct. 2nd that were rated at 2.7 and 2.8 magnitudes.
