American Heart Association teaches more than just good health!

OKLAHOMA CITY — Nearly 40 percent of Oklahoma City deaths each year are attributed to cardiovascular disease. That's a shocking (and scary!) statistic. In fact, cardiovascular disease is the nation's number one killer. Luckily the American Heart Association has you covered, from tips on staying heart healthy, to basic CPR training. CPR may be simple, but it gets results and saves lives every day. That's why a bill was just passed to bring CPR training to high school students here in Oklahoma. The American Heart Association was there to show their support for the bill. They want to get the message across that it's important to take care of your heart! If you want to learn more information on training, community events, volunteer info and health tips, check them out on Facebook!
