If you're out celebrating this holiday season, AAA Oklahoma wants you to have a good time and they'll even make sure you get home safely!
AAA Oklahoma is once again offering Tipsy Tow this holiday season to prevent drunk drivers from putting themselves and others at risk.
The program kicks off at 6:00 PM Friday, December 13 and runs through 4:00 AM on Thursday, January 2. Tipsy Tow is free to drivers in metro Oklahoma City, metro Tulsa, Ardmore, Shawnee, Muskogee, Bartlesville, Tahlequah, Enid and Lawton.
AAA Oklahoma says over Christmas and New Year's Eve, up to 40% of all crashes involve alcohol so they're hoping you call them instead.
"Last year, we had nearly 200 calls for Tipsy Tows over the year-end holidays," said Chuck Mai, spokesman for AAA Oklahoma. "We hope even more call us this year. We know Oklahomans will be drinking - we just don't want them driving, too."
The service is free to all drivers but is limited to a 15-mile limit for tows and the only place AAA will take you is home, not to another party.
AAA Oklahoma offered Tipsy Tow at Thanksgiving as well.
