200 sign Kingfisher petition to recall Mayor election
Citizens of Kingfisher have filed a petition to recall the election of Mayor Jack Stuteville after getting 200 signatures.
The number was more than required by the petition in order to get the recall. The city now has 10 days to review it and make sure all the signatures are valid.
If approved, the petition would go to the city commission and a recall election must be set at least 60 days after it's approval.
The petition was started in October after Kingfisher Fire Chief Randy Poindexter was fired. Residents believe the mayor broke federal laws when they relieved him of his duties.
